It is a very friendly active section and ladies have equal membership. Scotscraig has signed up to the R&A Women in Golf Charter.
The main competition days are Tuesday and Thursday with tee times throughout the day, including evenings. The alternative Medal Day is Saturday/Sunday and there are also weekend competitions.
A wide range of competitions is held throughout the year including some fun ones.
The Ladies have a full programme of inter club matches and also enter players into national competitions.
To participate in the main competitions, you require a handicap index. For new members who are looking to get one for the first time a minimum of 54 holes will have to be played at Scotscraig. This can be a combination of 18 and 9 holes. If you require a "marker" the Ladies Committee can organise someone to play a round with you and mark your card at a time that suits you - a great way to meet other members.
It is very easy to play 9 holes at Scotscraig as the 9th Hole comes back to the clubhouse. There are 9 hole competitions which are Stableford format.
We are very fortunate at Scotscraig that the course is often open when other courses locally are not. From October - March, our winter 18 hole and 9 hole stableford competitions are organised on Tuesday mornings, if the weather is poor the coffee is usually good.
Winter Eclectic and Ringer competitions are also run so there is plenty of opportunity to play and practise in a friendly, less competitive atmosphere.
We are also members of the Winter Coastal League putting forward a team of three players to the monthly matches held on various courses from October to March.
After playing our rounds, we like to retire to the clubhouse for a drink and sandwich and to relax.
The Ladies Locker room has a shower and changing facilities with day lockers available for hire too.
